Shahla Rahimzadeh, M.Ed.

Academic Counselor, Undergraduate Food Studies Minor

Shahla Rahimzadeh joined the UCLA community nearly two years ago and has been the Food Studies Minor Counselor since June 2016. A lover of food, Shahla is excited and proud to be involved in the UCLA food community—including working closely with students in the Minor, and participating in the EatWell pod. In her role as the Food Studies Minor Counselor, she has helped bring awareness to the Minor to the UCLA undergraduate student community and strives to create and provide fruitful academic and professional opportunities for students.

Prior to UCLA, Shahla worked in Admissions and Student Affairs at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.  With a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Master’s degree in Educational Counseling, Shahla has brought her own experience of cultivating an environment that promotes transferable learning and professional skills to the students she works with.
